The latest issue of Metropolis M researches the work of rising star in the international exhibition circuit: Constant Dullaart. In regard to the highly internet active nature of his work we provide you a collection of links and video’s contextualizing the article in the magazine.
In 2007, Dullaart and the writers of the popular Dutch soap opera Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden (Good Times, Bad Times), collaborated on creating a fictional character of the prototypical artist: Juan-Stefano Vidal, as the result of a survey amongst Rijksakademie employees. Juan’s studio can be seen on Dullaart’s Flickr page.
Sometimes a coincidentally shared authorship unfolds. For the 2009 exhibition Versions in NIMK, Dullaart created the video series YouTube as a Subject. Electronic media artist ilovetoeatmicedotcom, alias Ben Coonley, responded with a series of his own films that investigate the YouTube trademark.
